Boris's daily drive consists of the following traffic elements, provided he takes his usual route:

3 stop signs (1 4-way)
6 stop lights (1 with turn)
3 minor right turns
2 minor left turns
2 major right turns
1 major left turn

The greater portion of his route is 4 lane road. No highways. If there is an unusual number of school buses or other obstacles, Boris may take a detour through Hillbilly Heaven If he's not driving for work, gig, church, or beer, he's not driving at all.

 The weekend rains were
                                          dissipating. Purple clouds paced
below a clear backdrop of blue.
The sun caused a glimmer to
                                          bounce around on my dashboard,
                                          as in days before.

This time I was determined to find
                                          out where the glimmer was
coming from. As I stopped at
                                          Johnson Street (where I usually
get a front row seat) I used the
back of my hand to trace and
focus upon the reflection. It came
from the passenger side seat belt
                                          buckle.

Speaking of seat belt buckles, the
                                          driver's belt is incurably folded,
                                          making for impossible tensioning
or untensioning. It is stuck in a
                                          position that makes chubby guys
like me have to suck in the gut.
                                          Once buckled in it's okay.

So was the drive. It was okay. No
major fools or road kill to add
either conflict or horror to the
drive. Just mild weather and a
couple things inside the car to
                                          pique my interest.

Enjoy your day. Leave early for
work. Take a cup of coffee, and
                                          please, take your time.

Until next time . . .
